Actually, for DeadGhost, something great happened for us back in 2013 Quinn (the editor and "co-owner" of DeadGhost) and I entered a contest by Rutland VT's PegTV. The challenge was called "Show Me The Funny" and people could enter some of their funny videos. So, we made one on the fly, and called it Mikes Telemarketing.
The dead line for the competition came, and... there were only two other entries. So, the dead line got pushed back a bit. We waited another month... or two, when finally... we got the results! We won! We went down to the PegTV station and received our prize: a new Vixia camcorder (it's just a really nice video camera).
Much better than the one we used prior, not to mention it's nice to have multiple cameras. It was a great moment for us, and really helped us push forward with our dream of making videos!
